Objective

The objective of this report is to compare Frequency Response Functions (FRFs) obtained from different measurement techniques and verify whether orthogonal and geometric projection reconstructions provide consistent results.

Experimental Setup and Measurement Overview

Measurements were performed at several angular positions using both accelerometer and vibrometer setups.
The following figures present representative FRF magnitude comparisons for selected measurement angles.

Orthogonal and Vibrometer Comparison (0°)

Comparison of orthogonal accelerometer and vibrometer FRFs at 0 degrees

Comparison of orthogonal accelerometer and vibrometer measurements at 0°.

Accelerometer and Vibrometer Comparison (47.9°)

Comparison between accelerometer and vibrometer FRFs at 47.9 degrees

Comparison between accelerometer and vibrometer FRFs at 47.9°.

Tri-Axial Accelerometer Response

Measured tri-axial accelerometer frequency response comparison

Measured tri-axial accelerometer response across the frequency range.

FRF Magnitude Reconstruction

Overlay of reconstructed FRF magnitudes showing orthogonal, angled, and projected responses

Reconstructed FRF magnitudes comparing orthogonal (black), angled (red), and projected (blue) results.

Info: All plots are presented using a logarithmic scale for amplitude (m/s²/N) and a linear scale for frequency (Hz).
